M.O.P. för alltid. Tills jag ligger kall under jorden. Så känner jag. Deras kompromisslöshet, höga kvalitetskrav och musikaliska egenart lade grunden för en av New Yorks mest imponerande kataloger.

Som låter ovanligt fräsch när den spelas idag. Omaskerad stolthet och ofiltrerad aggression av deras slag never gets old. Ja, så länge världen ser ut som den gör kommer det finnas gott om anledningar till att pumpa deras musik.

Och det här är bättre än de flesta andra rappares DVD:er.

M.O.P. bowling. My favorite part is when they’re talking about the birds, though; from On The Waterfront, to Mike Tyson, to Ghost Dog, to Mash Out Posse, keeping pigeons is a crucial part of New York (more precisely, Brooklyn?) culture.

RELATED: These dudes, somewhere in I don’t know where, taking shit to that next level, with the big truck with hella birds in it.

While all this is immensely fascinating, the hobby consisting of catching pigeons, keeping them in cages, and competing with them is not for me.

I suppose bird watching goes better with my Scandinavian temperament. One day I will start doing that shit hardbody, like so many others in my family have done before me.

DJ Quik bringing out El Debarge is a great moment in music.

In the videos below you can see them performing one of their collabos…

… and working in the studio.

I Like It is such a classic, and much sampled in hiphop. The best example would be this Warren G meisterwerk, but it also inspired Papoose to write an engaging rap for once, and made for a great M.O.P. song.

Äntligen har en av Sveriges största hip hop legender släppt videon till låten Plocka Han som ska vara med på Ken Ring och Tommy Tees kommande platta 2 legender uten penger igjen, som ska komma nån gång under 2O11. Lil Fame och Billy Danze lägger en helt jävla brutal hook på svenska. Man får väl hoppas på mer av den varan..
