Don’t call me no expert on neither artist’s oeuvre, but from now on both M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj are advised only to do tracks in this style.
I appreciate how the noise of 90s DHR releases is bleeding through into the mainstream of today.

The Geist of the techno-precariat. Christoph De Babalon captures all that pretty well on If You’re Into It, I’m Out Of It, moving sometimes clumsily and sometimes very effectively between harsh abuse of the Amen-break (Dead Too) and moody musique concrete (Opium, Brilliance), most often combining the two (What You Call A Life, My Confession).
This is perhaps the finest example of the more angst-ridden side of DHR.
