Recifian tags > Philly tags

I’ve mentioned the handstyles of Recife (in the North-East of Brazil) before.

But the Philly cat from the Infamy documentary going on about the uniqueness of his home city handstyles made me really want to hunt down some documentation from Recife.

This youtube has a few nice tags (and a great soundtrack from MV Bill and Camila).

There’s some badass stuff in the beginning of this TV clip (but turn it mute and blast some real Brazilian rap instead).

But all in all a pretty weak representation of the madness I saw with my own eyes.

If I go to Recife again I think I’ll take the risk of getting robbed for a camera, just to document the handstyles. They’re that nice.
