The poster below hung framed on my bedroom wall during my entire childhood. It was my father’s, who got it from  somewhere deep in the networks of comics fandom.

The stories that Frank Frazetta illustrated, most famously Conan, might not have been the most brilliant… but his powerful drawings fed your mind. Remember the scene in Style Wars where the graffiti dudes see a movie poster of him in the street and just start bugging out? His shit was mindblowing… and he stands along Will Eisner, Burne Hogarth and Robert Crumb as the greatest of American comic artists.
